These spooky decorations are sure to scare the living daylights out of everyone who sees them, and isn’t that the point of Halloween? All you need is some plastic wrap, a few pumpkins, and black spray paint to create a truly unforgettable spook fest!
1. Hanging Bodies Made From Plastic Wrap
- plastic wrap
1.1 Wrap a friend’s body from head to toe in plastic wrap and then tape everything together for more stability.
1.2 Once you have wrapped and taped enough layers, you can remove the plastic wrap from the torso, arms, legs, and head with scissors, so that you’re basically taking off your friend’s plastic wrap suit piece by piece.
1.3 Now tape all the parts together, and you’ve got a mannequin made of plastic wrap. Hang it from the ceiling and give everyone the fright of a lifetime!
2. Creepy Toys
- black spray paint
- red paint
Spray paint the toys black and paint their eyes red, and you’ve got yourself the creepiest toys in all the land.
3. Flying Ghosts
- round, white tablecloth
- paper lantern
- LED light
- black felt
3.1 Stick a piece of tape in the middle of a round, white tablecloth and cut a small slit in it.
3.2 Hang an LED light in the paper lantern and put the tablecloth over it. Guide the lantern hanger through the slit in the tablecloth.
3.3 Cut out eyes and mouth from a piece of black felt and tape them to the ghosts. These spooky flying ghosts are most striking in the dark!
4. Spooky Black Cat Jack-O’-Lanterns
- pumpkins (1 large and several small)
- 1 squash
- 1 zucchini
- black spray paint
- metal skewers
- hot glue
4.1 Spray paint the pumpkins, squash, and zucchini completely black.
4.2 Pull out the inside of the round pumpkins. This is going to be the head of the cat, so use a knife to cut two eye slits out of the pumpkin.
4.2 Put 4 skewers into the squash near the stem. then clamp a big tealight between the skewers.
4.3 Now you can place the hollowed-out head on the body, with the tealight hidden in the head. Cut out two cat ears from a piece of black felt and hot glue them to the upper pumpkin.
4.4 Now you can set up your spooky black cat Jack-O’-Lanterns in your front lawn or backyard. The small pumpkins are the paws and the zucchini is the cat’s tail!
Scary, right? These great Halloween decorations will turn even the most unassuming house into a place ghosts would love to haunt! If you’re ready to get in the “spirit” of the season, try them out!
